Fotbal

Fotbal, known as soccer in many countries, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players. The objective of the game is to score goals by getting a ball into the opposing team’s net. The game is played on a rectangular field, known as a pitch, with a goal at each end. The players primarily use their feet to kick the ball, although they can also use their bodies, except for the goalkeepers, who are allowed to handle the ball within their penalty area.

The sport is governed by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) and is played globally, with numerous competitions and leagues across different countries. Fotbal emphasizes teamwork, strategy, and physical fitness, making it one of the most popular sports in the world. The game is played in two halves, typically lasting 45 minutes each, with added time for stoppages. The team with the most goals at the end of the match wins. If the match ends in a draw in certain competitions, it may go into extra time or a penalty shootout to determine the winner. Fotbal not only serves as a competitive sport but also plays a significant role in cultural and social contexts worldwide.
